    Decided to make a new topic for this one, since I wasn't sure where else it might go.

    [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qRU-M_tMY2c]YouTube - Universal Newsreels-America Thrilled As President Outlines Recovery Progress (1933)[/ame]

    Really interesting watch, especially in light of the recent economic crisis.

    Wow. I forgot to make this section! Anyway, I like the video David.

    Yep yep. Thanks. ^^

    Here's another video, much newer (from 1993) but still an interesting watch:

    [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TZb0avfQme8]YouTube - AT&T 1993 "You Will" Ads[/ame]

    Old ads from AT&T, showing (what they perceived at the time) as the future.

    EDIT: Oh, and would you mind if I maybe made more new topics here in the future? One of the reasons I didn't post here before was because I couldn't think of what topic to post a video in, and I didn't want to put it into "Random Videos" xD I shouldn't need too many more, maybe just two or three.

    Another video of the future from the past. Or at least a showcasing of what would've been cutting edge technology back then.

    Love the caption at 1:36; "Owns Home Computer."

    And found it interesting at 1:17 how there were only a few thousand computers in the entire Bay Area. That's a small school these days. And if you count things like video game consoles, digital cameras, cell phones, etc. as computers (all of which are decidedly more powerful than even the best computers back then), you'd probably find 3,000 computers in less than a hundred households. Hell, your alarm clock probably has a more powerful processor than these machines.

    It's amazing how far we've come. Makes me wonder where we'll be in twenty, thirty years.
