That's because Firefox won't install ActiveX controls or Flash elements
without your consent, and sometimes won't at all. Many sites use AX to
hijack your PC, especially your browsing. IE6 and 7 won't install AX (except
for Flash, which it will), unless you allow it from the prompt at the
toolbar level at the top of the window in IE.
In the case of GI, mitch simply needs to manually install Flash player from
Adobe.
