Yes, it has been well chronicled about the rumor of MGS4 coming to 360,
supposedly Konami is forcing the developer to port it to 360. But the
bigger rumor is: M$ buying capcom?!?! Now that would be huge! Anyone
heard about that??

Microsoft buys Capcom? That then means that after MGS4, all the other
MGS series will only be on Microsoft consoles?

Does Microsoft then buy Square Enix next and totally makes the PS3 have
no reason to exist?

And MS is trying to develop a relationship with Square/Enix and start new
series.

On a side note, I'm growing more and more interested in Blue Dragon.

Hmm... the only other person on the group to confuse Capcom (Resident
Evil, Dead Rising, SFII) for Konami (MGS, and my personal favorite
Snatcher) was Swami... Did you just out yourself? :^)

And don't forget Lost Planet. Its multiplayer demo is due for
thanxgiving. Capcom in the past has hinted that they want a closer
relationship with M$

Well Capcom does not make MGS so I don't see how that would affect that
series. Capcom is responsible for Mega Man, for Devil May Cry, etc. but not
Metal Gear.

Either way though, if MS was to buy Capcom, that would be a GIGANTIC blow to
the world of video games. Capcom has very few boring games. Most of
everything they release is a hit. I think the newest Final Fight game was
one of the very few bad Capcom titles.

God, that would be awful. I could deal with a Capcom/XBox360
exclusivity agreement but if M$ gets their hands on the whole company
then I'd fear for them. I'd hate to see one of the last old-school
Video game power houses (one that's actually still making cutting edge
fun games) get swallowed up by another massive conglomerate.

If it ain't broke, then it don't need fixing. And Capcom ain't broke.

Actually no. That is what I fell for. After reading this thread again
hours later, I fell for it. I should know better. Oh well. I guess
talk of MGS going to 360 resulted in this spin, same with the initial
poster.

Lost Planet will be okay as long as people don't expect it to be
another GOW or compare it to GOW.
