Usenet...

Wow, I actually looked up Usenet, and according to what I read, it was actually formed for people who couldn't connect to ARPANET (where our modern day internet comes from). Originally it was seperate from the internet, but now it is more like a news-group protocol and is carried over the internet. So... now it's like this is an opening to another dimension. Pretty cool though.

My question is...

If you reply to a topic in this forum that someone not registered here made, do they see your response, or what?

That is what I am trying to figure out, I already posted in the Xbox one. You can't go to the Nintendo one because of the VBSEO link, it is the same as OUR Nintendo board, so it goes there.

Could the Usenet "New Posts" be kept seperate from the "New Posts" for the rest of the board? Just wondering, since it's a little annoying, to me at least.

Says you, but then again we all have our opinions.

Anyhow, I wonder this: do the people there even know their Usernet thing is patched in to this forum? It is funny if they don't know. It's like.... one of those science fiction movies where it's a world within a world, and the smaller world doesn't know that they are apart of the big world.

Okay the usenet forums (the forums under this one anyway) have been removed from the new posts function, and yes it does post your replies back to usenet so they can see you post, and to arcy no its not stupid it adds more content to this board then anything does, more content = higher ranking higher ranking = more members Very Sly of me I would say teehee

Yeah, it was. It's the main reason I haven't really been around much, but now that it's seperated from the "New Posts"...
