Ok. I'm just getting really pissed off. Atheist who cry and whine like babies because someone says Christ? You guys might as well comeo ut with your plan to ban religon. You ARE the minority. Get the hell over it, shut the hell up. You don't celebrate, Christmas, correct? Oh wait, you made up a holiday; Yule. Why don't you go to work on the 25th? Because it's Yule? Hard to beleive you set it on the same day as Christmas. Athiesm isn't a true religon, it's a choice not to beleive in God. You don't have holidays, you don't go to church. Therefore, you don't need Yule. If by any chance you do keep it, put it on some other day, like Febuary 29th. It only comes one every 4 years (Thank God! Oh, wait, are you going to sue me now?). It's hard to beleive you try to exterminate Christianity. Oh, Sabre, are you going to lock this because it's true? I don't care if I bad mouth your "Religon". I'm being politically incorrect, on your terms. Another problem we are having is the Jews. Jews hate christianity as much as the Muslims. There book tells them to exterminate, or to treat goys like beast, as we are not humans. Anigmass, are you looking to delete this thread? Don't. Let the majority voice there opnion. The Zionist are going to call me anti-semitc, but they still think it is perfectly ok to hate Christians.Who tried to prevent the Passion of the Christ? Jews. They say it was anti-semitic, but they are now running from there own history? Are you all going to try to decimate religon until you get your way? Holy fucking Hell, man. This isn't a Christian outlook at all. True Christians would not go bashing others because they're Aethiest or celebrate Yule, because they're Jewish or Muslim, or whatever. That's fucking ignorant. That, unfortunately, is Americas socially backward view. Tolerance, at least, needs to be spread (because inbred rednecks will start lynching arabs otherwise), and to exist in a modern western world, you can't be like that.

Oh, I know. Our political veiws are quiet diffrent. It just pisses me off that people are making all these holidays that come from Christmas, and then go bashing Christians. It's a very messed up world.

Technically, I'm agnostic, but certainly closest leaning to atheist, so Christianity certainly has little meaning to me. However, I certainly hope you don't mean to say that "ANYONE WHO DISAGREES WITH ME SHOULD WORK ALL YEAR ROUND." Of course people are going to get off bloody work/school once in a while, just like they do at weekends. If Christmas happens to be the most convenient place in these parts because there is so much Christian influence, so be it.

Anyways, I can see where you're coming from, but Christmas is supposed to be a time of giving - not excluding people because you disagree with them. As such, the atheists shouldn't be condemned to purely receiving, no? That would make them feel guilty.

I'm completely Atheist, yet I do not mind celebrating Christmas just as a cultural tradition and I respect other people who do believe in Christianity as long they are not being a tyrant. I gave away pratically everyone in my class a gift, and gave away the ones that were given to me. Stop being so stereotypical.

I know many other Atheist who are open minded about it, and do not mind giving gifts and celebrating along with the rest of society--and why the fuck did you mention my name in this thread? And I'm going to lift that ban, because what he said had absolutely nothing against the RACE, but instead mentioned the RELIGION. Even on top of that, what he did was call them on their own crap, not make insensitive stereotypes. I'll go further and say that today's Jews do not even adhere to what their religion is supposed to be. How many of them follow the Old Testament's teachings or believe that they are all true/live by them? Few if any, and many self proclaimed Jews do not even believe in God.

Making that bold statement, are you aware of the fact that Christmas itself was created to counter a Roman Religious holiday in the late fourth century? I forget the name of the Religion that the Romans used to celebrate, but I believe [the holiday of the Romans] was a joyous worshipping of Saturn. This Religion of the Romans was becoming so popular that it was pronounced as the offical religion of Rome. Obviously, the Christians, wanting to make a counterstrike (being the minority at this point in time), decided to pronounce December 25 as the birth of Jesus Christ, whose date coincidentally coincided with the Roman holiday. It should also be noted, of course, that December 25 was nowhere near the projected date for the birth of Christ, which was and still is May 20. And even the estimated birth of Christ nearest to Christmas, Janurary 1, is a week off from December 25. Anyway, to get down to the point of things, if you feel like saying, "How dare you Athiests go off making your own holiday on Christmas Day just because you're the minority!" Just remember that you're being a major hypocrite, as your own Christians made the same bold move when they created Christmas fifteen hundred years ago.
