Save your Christmas!

Don't buy "Lego Star Wars II The Original Trilogy" for Nintendo
DS by Lucasarts.

The game is full of bugs and you kids will be frustrated by the screen
going blank just when they're at a critical point in the game. Any
allies they may have in the game are just as likely to shoot their
character in the back with no reason at any time in the game.

Purchased From EB Games in Masonville Place (Store #846), London
Ontario, EB Games would not take the game back within 24 hours of
purchase saying they weren't responsible for defective games that
they sold even when they knew they were defective. According to Store
Staff any remedy would have to come from Lucasarts, and that would be
in the form of another Lucasarts game for a different game platform.

This really sucks because EB Games policy on the back of every receipt
they print states: " Returns &exchanges of new & pre-owned
merchandise will be accepted within 14 days of purchase."

So Save your Christmas. Don't buy "Lego Star Wars II The Original
Trilogy" for Nintendo DS by Lucasarts. And don't buy it from EB
Games at Masonville Place (Store #846), in London.

EB Games comes good after all.

After two phone calls to head office they've decided to take the game
back.

But they have not taken "Lego Star Wars II The Original Trilogy"
off the shelves.

I would not recommend buying that game.

My son played the DS version all the way through with no problems.
Maybe you have a defective DS and you returned the wrong thing.

Well I thought that too at first but both were bought new at the same
time (DS lite). Judging by the blogs and reviews, a whole lot of folks
have had problems with the game and the admissions at the store, the
game has some history to it. I've also received email from Lucas Arts
saying they're looking into the problems and an offer of a Lucas Art
game free for another platform.

I've told them, that was nice, but I'd rather they pull the game off
the shelfs and save a lot of frustration for parents and grandparents
not to mention kids at Christmas time.

Pretty much every review I've read said this. Don't buy any game
without doing your research.

I think a lot of parents and grandparents will just look at the LOGOS
and buy based on that thinking they''ll get a quality game. Especially
for a cartrage type game.
